Transforming Micro Focus' Historic Workspace
When The Instant Group came to Buildgen for the new offices of Micro Focus in Cambridge, they had a vision to turn a unique, historic building into a modern workspace. The building, once a plane store warehouse, featured a stunning high vaulted ceiling that gave the space a bright, open feel. However, the grand scale of the space also presented an acoustic challenge.
Our team worked closely with The Instant Group and Micro Focus to address this issue. To maintain the spacious feel while solving the acoustic problem, we installed creative acoustic rafts throughout the space. These not only improved sound quality but also enhanced the overall aesthetic of the office, blending functionality with style.
The result? A beautifully transformed office that leveraged the building’s unique features while ensuring a comfortable, productive environment for the Micro Focus team. We’re proud to have been part of such a distinctive project, combining design, functionality, and history in one seamless space.
