Hummingbird

Buildgen had the pleasure of partnering with Hummingbird Resources on an exciting office refurbishment project. Over the course of six months, our pre-construction and construction teams worked closely with the Hummingbird Resources project team to create a space that truly reflected their corporate identity while meeting their operational needs.

The project began with a detailed process of establishing the Day 1 and Day 2 space plans, ensuring that both the mechanical, electrical, and fire detection services, as well as the finishes and specifications, aligned with Hummingbird’s brand and functional requirements.

The refurbishment included a number of key improvements, such as replacing the outdated Category L7 fluorescent light fittings with sleek, modern slim-line LED panels. We also made minor alterations to the mechanical services, enhancing the space’s functionality. One of the highlights of the design was the installation of Crittall-effect glazing in the boardroom and meeting rooms, adding a touch of elegance while maintaining an open, airy feel.

To support Hummingbird's international staff, we created large open-plan areas and hot-desking spaces that allow for flexibility and collaboration. Additionally, we included a spacious tea point and breakout area, offering a comfortable space for the team to relax and recharge.

Thanks to our close collaboration and attention to detail, Buildgen successfully delivered the project on time and within budget, creating a workspace that perfectly fits Hummingbird Resources’ vision for the future.
