Creating A High-spec Office Fit-out For Harrison Street

When Harrison Street approached Buildgen for their office fit-out, they had a high-specification brief that required meticulous attention to detail. Our team was excited to take on the challenge and bring their vision to life, creating a space that was both functional and visually stunning.

The project included some standout features, such as concealed fabric-wrapped doors, bespoke lighting designs, and folding walls. One of the most complex aspects was the mechanical system, designed to work seamlessly with the tailor-made AV system for their front-of-house meeting rooms. We created a solution where three separate meeting rooms could easily open up into one large conference room, providing the flexibility they needed for different types of meetings.

Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, communication was key. Weekly video conferencing calls with the client ensured that everyone was on the same page, despite the challenges of remote collaboration. In addition, we held regular calls between the Buildgen team, Harrison Street’s London office team, the IT team in Chicago, and their UK IT contractor. This was crucial for making sure that the IT and AV specifications were spot on, allowing Harrison Street’s Chicago team to remotely manage the London office’s IT set-up.
